Job Description We are looking for an upbeat, solution-focused engineer to join us in designing, optimizing, and scaling next‑generation cloud architectures and big data analytics platforms. In this role, you will bridge the gap between robust software development and scalable cloud infrastructure. From writing efficient pipeline code to managing secure distributed databases and deploying infrastructure as code, your contributions will ensure our mission systems run smoothly and efficiently. Compensation The annual base salary range for this role is $205,000–$242,000 (USD). Discretionary bonus compensation and a comprehensive benefits package may also apply. Required Skills Core Software Development: Strong, hands‑on development experience using Java and Python to build scalable applications and distributed data pipelines. Big Data Ecosystems: Deep technical experience working with Hadoop frameworks for distributed storage and file processing. NoSQL Database Management: Proven experience writing pipelines and optimizing data layers with Accumulo. Cloud Infrastructure & IaC: Direct experience developing software within AWS cloud environments combined with provisioning infrastructure via Terraform. Desired Skills Experience managing data serialization and distributed stream processing tools. A proactive approach to troubleshooting big data performance bottlenecks and optimizing cloud resources. Strong communication skills with a team‑first mindset, focused on delivering clear, actionable technical solutions. Education Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, System Engineering, or related field) preferred, or equivalent professional experience with 20 years of experience, or 24 years of relevant experience.
